It's official that the first “mule” for the development
of the new Maserati engine was driven out of the Viale Ciro Menotti gates, in
Modena today. The “mules” - as they are known in the
automotive industry - of a new Maserati model have a special livery that echoes
the “Save the Date” teaser sent out ahead of the event scheduled for May 2020. The experimental vehicles are equipped
with a new engine installed in the rear central position.
The powertrain – defined by an
innovative combustion system – is entirely developed and built in Maserati and
will be the forefather of a new family of engines integrated exclusively on the
vehicles of the Brand. The data acquired through the
kilometres covered by the mules will be integrated with the experience gathered
in the Maserati Innovation Lab driving simulators, the most advanced in the
world. This working methodology will then be used to fine-tune and develop the prototypes
with final bodywork and mechanics. Truly amazing, very excited to see more development from Maserati soon!

Maserati just dropped this on everyone guys! Maserati announces new plans for all-new models to be developed, electrified and produced in Italy!
In line with FCA’s €5 billion investment program for Italy, Maserati announces its innovation plan for production, electrification and autonomous driving technologies. As to production, Maserati announces plans for its lineup of new and electrified products at Modena, Cassino and Turin (Mirafiori and Grugliasco).
An exciting announcement by Maserati on all-new models - to be developed, electrified and produced in Italy.
All of
Maserati’s new models will be 100 percent made in Italy and will adopt hybrid
and battery electric propulsion systems capable of providing both innovations
and the high performance embedded in the brand’s DNA. Maserati’s all-electric
models will combine traditional highly appreciated Maserati driving dynamics
together with next-generation battery-electric technology, offering unique
driving modes, extended range and ultra-fast charging capabilities.
An
important step for Maserati innovation is the level of Autonomous Driving. All
new Maserati including the updated current models will offer a range of
autonomous driving capabilities, starting with Maserati Level 2 enhanced
Highway Assist progressing to Level 3 with hands-off offering close to full
autonomy, having the ability to maneuver in and out of lanes or bring the
vehicle to a safe stop at the side of the road if the driver is unable to take
control of the vehicle.
In
2020, the Company will embark on electrification and the Maserati Ghibli,
produced in Turin, will be the first hybrid-electric propulsion for the brand. The
first of the totally new Maserati to appear will be the eagerly-anticipated
sports car – packed with technology and reminescent of Maserati’s traditional
values. It will be produced in the Modena plant, where major production line upgrades
are also underway to accommodate its electric powertrain.
Next
up will be a new Maserati utility vehicle, set to be built at Cassino and
destined to play a leading role for the Brand thanks to its innovative
technologies. An investment of approximately €800 million has been earmarked
for the construction of the new production line, scheduled to open at the end
of the first quarter of 2020. The first pre-series cars are expected to roll
off the line by 2021.
After
many years of success, GranTurismo and GranCabrio remain part of the brand's
roots and these models will herald the full electrification era for Maserati.
The totally new GranTurismo and GranCabrio will be produced at the Turin
production hub, where FCA is investing €800 million.
Production of the new models
will complement that of the prestigious and continuously improving line-up of
current Maserati range: Levante, Quattroporte and Ghibli.
With the introduction of various
product innovations, Maserati is reinforcing the importance of Italy with
regards to its production — particularly Modena, which will also continue to
play a strategic role as the brand’s headquarters.
Construction has already begun
in Modena on a paint shop, a new feature for the plant, which will be equipped
with innovative, low environmental impact technologies. The design of the paint
shop will also allow Maserati customers to watch their car being painted.
Finally, Maserati is developing
an entirely new customization program for customers seeking a one-of-a-kind
level of exclusivity. A dedicated customization workshop will be created within
the Modena plant.
The 2019-2021 FCA investment plan for Italy, announced on 29th November in Turin, includes thirteen totally
new or significantly updated FCA models and electrified versions of 12 new or
existing models, including the Maserati products, the recently announced the all-new electric version of the Fiat 500 to be produced at Mirafiori, and a new
premium vehicle for Alfa Romeo to be produced at Pomigliano.

Haze & Pollution: It's Affecting Your Skin, but why? Neutrogena Has the Answers!

Hello! Having a hazy, dazy day? Who is not? On top of the pollution, we now have to deal with the haze. I am on my mask every day now. Aiyo, very sien.
But for my face, I think it's ok until Neutrogena send me this.
A powerful cleanser, yet gentle to your skin! So, what's PM2.5?
Seriously guys, the haze. Not funny. Apparently, even on normal days, pollution + urban condition, it already has PM2.5 everywhere. Free for you.
So, what is PM2.5? Neutrogena Malaysia has all the answers in this video:
Did you know – pollution affects a staggering 80% of urbanites! And because of constant exposure to this poor-quality air filled with micro-pollutants, our skin experiences 60% moisture loss after just 7 days!
One of the most concerning pollutants with skin-damaging effects is Particulate Matter (PM). Research has shown that any PM with a diameter of 10 microns or less (≤ PM10) can penetrate through the skin, causing serious health issues, and one of the biggest skin’s enemies within this range is PM2.5.
This is particularly alarming for city dwellers – according to survey results published by the World Health Organization (WHO) over 4,300 cities, only 20% of the world’s population is living in areas with acceptable levels of PM2.5!
Left: Pores filled with PM2.5 | Right: After cleaning it with Neutrogena Deep Clean cleanser! Woah.........
PM2.5 particles are 20 times smaller than human pores, allowing them to penetrate easily through to even the deepest layers of the skin. If you’re wondering how small they are, just imagine: the diameter of a strand of hair is about 30 times wider than the largest PM2.5 microparticle!
You really don't want your face to be destroyed by PM2.5... no mask can help you on this.
Because
PM2.5 is invisible to the naked eye, it causes unseen harm and damage to our
complexion. When PM2.5 enters our skin, it weakens and damages the skin’s natural
protective barrier, obstructing pores and preventing them from functioning properly.
When our pores are suffocated, the skin is unable to regenerate itself, thereby
leading to even more issues.
The
common symptoms of skin damage caused by PM2.5 include: dryness, dullness
caused by a decrease in collagen, aggravation of acne symptoms, pigmentation
and dark spots, premature lines and wrinkles, and other skin problems.
Is
there a way to safely remove harmful PM2.5 from our skin? There is wisdom in
the age-old saying, “prevention is better than cure”. Therefore, it is more
sustainable to prevent the onset of skin problems before they happen, rather
than to try and repair the damage done when it’s too late.
To
minimize the impact of air pollution on your skin, cleanse your face twice a day with a facial cleanser that not only removes dirt and impurities, but also
takes away micro dust. As PM2.5 particles are so small and can be difficult to
remove, you’ll need a cleanser that is clinically proven to effectively cleanse
away these micro-pollutants.
However,
not all cleansers are made equal – many women tend to have the misconception
that all foaming cleansers in the market provide adequate protection from external
pollutants, but the truth is that they don’t!
Neutrogena®
introduces a simple and effective method to take away 99% of PM2.5 micro-pollutants^
while giving back skin’s nourished glow! Take the first step towards healthier,
clearer skin with Neutrogena® Deep Clean®
Foaming Cleanser, the 1st pure glycerin-based foaming cleanser*
that is clinically proven to remove 99.9% of dirt and impurities from deep
within the skin!
Featuring
a non-drying oil control formula, the foaming cleanser creates a rich, ultra-creamy
lather that reaches deep into pores, thoroughly removing impurities such as
dirt, excess oil and dead skin cells. Shine and surface oil are reduced, while
retaining natural moisture balance, thanks to its key ingredient, Pure
Glycerin, which nourishes and refines the complexion for a clear, fresh and
healthy-looking glow.
Gentle
and non-irritating, Glycerin is a powerful humectant which draws moisture from
the environment to keep skin hydrated. According to experts, Glycerin mimics
our skin’s natural moisturizing factor (NMF), which makes it highly suitable
for all skin types – even oily/combination or problematic skin! Other benefits
of Glycerin include: reducing skin roughness, helping to shield skin from
environmental irritation, and strengthening skin’s moisture barrier.
Neutrogena® Deep Clean® Foaming Cleanser (RM19.90, 100g) is available at leading pharmacies nationwide. You can also shop online via Johnson & Johnson official stores on Lazada and Shopee. For more information, kindly visit Neutrogena®’s official website or follow Neutrogena Malaysia on Facebook.
*Based on marketed rinse-off products
in Neutrogena® from 2007 – 2017. ^ based on
clinical efficacy study on PM 2.5 particles. For
peace of mind, Neutrogena® Deep Clean® Foaming Cleanser is also
non-comedogenic, oil-free and dermatologist tested.
So guys, the last thing you want is clogged pores, filled with PM2.5! No, thank you. Clean your skin well, especially when we are in season for haze (musim jerebu!), take care!

Yass! McDonald's is back with their latest offering and I'm loving it! I am about to tell you why...
I am sure some of you tried it, but those who haven't.... you are in for a treat! McDonald’s Malaysia brings back two customer favourites, the Nasi McD
and the Chicken Foldover for the month of Ramadan.Rice is a must for me and the curry, is to die for! The Nasi
McD is paired with McDonald’s famous Ayam Goreng McD + the all new Curry Sauce that customers can add-on (if you like spicy, I strongly recommend it!).
McDonald’s
Malaysia has launched two new menu offerings for its guests that are looking
for a delicious, fulfilling meal during the month of Ramadan.
Throughout
the month, McDonald’s customers can choose between two exclusive offerings – the
all new Nasi McD and the return of the Chicken Foldover, which is now
available in all McDonald’s restaurants.
A perfect buka puasa meal (and for sharing!), had this meal with my best buddy! I used the McD app for special promo, one for the Chicken Foldover and another set for the Nasi McD + 2 pcs of Ayam Goreng McD!
For
rice lovers, the Nasi McD, paired with McDonald’s famous, spicy, Ayam Goreng
McD, will now be served with an all new Curry Sauce that customers can add-on. Nasi
McD will be available with a choice of 1 piece or 2 pieces of Ayam Goreng McD.
The
set comes inclusive of a medium coleslaw and a medium Iced Lemon Tea, for a
complete meal that’s perfect for buka
puasa.
The Chicken Foldover with two pieces of perfectly grilled, juicy chicken patties, topped with fresh lettuce and tomatoes, wrapped in a toasted flatbread, returns with a new sauce. It's easy to eat, really, peel off the wrapping on top (follow the lines) and enjoy!
The new menu offering also brings back a customer
favourite - the Chicken Foldover – with two pieces of perfectly grilled, juicy
chicken patties, topped with fresh lettuce and tomatoes, and an all new special
sauce, all wrapped in a warm toasted flatbread. Served with McDonald’s World
Famous French Fries, and Iced Lemon Tea, it is a filling meal for customers who
are looking for a new taste experience.
“Ramadan is the most holy of months for all Muslims, and it is
also a time when all Malaysians celebrate their love of food. Whilst there are many iconic tastes that we offer all
year round, we find occasions or seasons like Ramadan perfect to offer our
customers a differentiated and exciting flavour experience,”said Melati Abdul Hai, Vice
President/Chief Marketing Officer.
And they gave me a kurma too! So nice of McD... I just had to grab one serving of D24 Durian McFlurry while getting my stomach full with Nasi McD!
In addition to the Nasi McD and the
Chicken
Foldover, customers can also look forward to a range of desserts exploding with
local flavours. Not only is McDonald’s bringing back the D24 Durian McFlurry –
which is always a hit with customers – it is also reintroducing the Banana Pie,
a great menu
item to break fast, with its aromatic banana filling in the signature crisp
McDonald’s pillow pie.
For customers that are on the go, or for customers who
want to complement their meals with a sweet and refreshing beverage, McDonald’s
menu line-up also offers the Sarsaparilla Cones and the new McCafe Ice Blended
Ribena.
The Nasi McD with lots of curry sauce! The curry sauce is definitely spicy, and I love it! My only regret? I should have ordered extra curry sauce and make it a "Nasi McD Banjir"!
Not
forgetting the Sahur meal that started on 6
May, McDonald’s extended selected Regular Menu items until 6am to
cater to customers who are fasting. This includes the Nasi McD, Ayam Goreng
McD, McChicken, Spicy Chicken McDeluxe, and Chicken McNuggets, which are made available
to customers looking for a satisfying meal to bersahur with at McDonald’s.
The
Nasi McD set with 1 piece of Ayam Goreng McD, coleslaw and medium Iced Lemon
Tea starts from only RM13.95, while the set with 2 pieces of Ayam Goreng McD
costs RM16.95. The Chicken Foldover Meal is available at
RM16.95, and comes complete with medium French Fries and medium Iced Lemon Tea.
McDonald’s
Malaysia’s Ramadan menu offerings are now available till 5
June 2019.
If you love to have some dessert, what about.... some desserts bursting with local flavours. I tried the McDonald’s D24 Durian McFlurry and it's good! McD has also reintroduced the Banana Pie, a great menu item to break fast, with its aromatic
banana filling in the signature crisp McDonald’s pillow pie.
Even
more exciting, McDonald’s has also launched the “30-Days of Ramadan” promotion exclusively
via the McDonald’s App. The ‘30-days, 30-deals’ offers special discount coupons
which will be released on the App on a daily basis. To enjoy these amazing discounts,
customers just need to download the McDonald’s App from the
Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
So, guys... get it before it's all over! And try the all new curry sauce, tell me if you like it, as much as I did! Selamat berpuasa and enjoy all the new offerings from McD! Be deelicious...

Authentic Japanese cuisine at Tampopo Delicieux, Resorts World Genting

Hello guys!
Just a quick update on Resort World Genting, yes, that place where you go spend time to enjoy some cool breeze. It's like a never-ending fun there.
So, if you want to try a Japanese restaurant that serves authentic Japs cuisine, they have it. And best of all, to have the
‘Father of Tonkatsu’ personally selects ingredients and imports them from Japan
to serve you with exquisite dishes at the restaurant, Tampopo is the place to go.
Yupe, signature Spicy Chicken Katsu Ramen at Tampopo, SkyAvenue.
So, Tonkatsu usually consists
of a breaded deep-fried pork cutlet served with shredded cabbage and tonkatsu
sauce. To cater to Malaysians, the version served in the Tampopo outlet in
SkyAvenue, Resorts World Genting is the Chicken Katsu.
For Malaysians and
Singaporeans, Ramen is now a staple dish in every Japanese restaurant. Do you know? Not many restaurants can claim their broth is from Japan, but Tampopo wise, the broth of the
ramen soup is actually flown over on airplanes to arrive directly in Malaysia
rather than being made in-house or by local suppliers. Whilst most items of the
menu are made in ‘Tokyo style’, the ‘dashi’ or broth is a combined version of
Hokkaido and Kyushu recipes as Takagi deems the Tokyo version too simple for
local palates.
For food aficionados who love fiery flavours in their food,
their Spicy Chicken Katsu Ramen is a must-try on the menu. Their soup is light,
topped with finely shredded cabbage, spring onions and chilli flakes served
with chicken katsu. If you like
to keep things simple, their Chicken Chashu Ramen similarly doesn’t weigh
heavily on taste buds but is rather flavourful, topped off with springy
noodles, soft bamboo shoots, and well-marinated chicken.
This is the Scoop Cake at Tampopo, SkyAvenue, Resorts World Genting
The desserts are definitely worth saving space in your stomach as rather than being the perfect
end to a meal, they are a good reason on their own to visit the establishment. For those who are
looking to indulge their sweet tooth after breathing in the cool and fresh air of Resorts World
Genting, Tampopo offers a wide selection of desserts including Fruit Roll Cake, Milk Pudding and
Hokkaido Green Tea Ice Cream.
For those who have never tried Japanese desserts, this is definitely a good place to start. You can’t mention Japanese desserts without thinking of matcha and their Matcha Cream Puff does not disappoint with a crunchy texture that overflows with fresh and rich green tea cream without overpowering the pastry.
The highlight is the simple Scoop Cake which is indescribably delightfully soft and fluffy, topped with fresh fruits. Matcha lovers can further satisfy their cravings with the Hot Matcha Green Tea Latte, Matcha Milk Shake and Ice Matcha Latte.
Meet Takaaki Takagi, the Managing Director of Creative Food Concept Pte Ltd. at Tampopo, SkyAvenue.
Tampopo Delicieux is located on Level G, SkyAvenue, Resorts World Genting. Operation hours are from 10am to 10pm, daily. For more information, please call +603 6101 1118 visit www.rwgenting.com.
So, if you are looking for something new to try when in Genting, try this! :)
