New Policy on AirAsia's Flights for PowerBank?

I am sure by now, some of you read or your friend share with you the announcement made by AirAsia on the powerbank usage restriction on flight. You might even ask, then why do we even bother bringing powerbank on-board and so on. Bla bla bla....

Fret not. We understand from AirAsia's corporate department, they confirmed that AA updated their policy and the earlier announcement is NOT applicable.

Travel Advisory: AirAsia flights to/from Lombok, Indonesia (Updated: 7 August 2018)

AirAsia issued an updated advisory on travel to/from Lombok. Please check if you are affected and what options do you have...

As of 6 August 2018 15:00 HRS LT (GMT+8):

SEPANG, 6 August 2018 - AirAsia confirms that flights to and from Lombok and Bali are operating normally following the earthquake.

Guests travelling to and from Lombok or Bali from 6 to 10 August 2018* may choose one of the following service recovery options being offered:

1. Change destination: One-time reroute to another destination within the AirAsia network, within 30 calendar days of the original travel date subject to seat availability. The change fee will be waived but the fare difference will apply if you are changing to a flight with a higher fare; OR

2. Move flight: One-time flight change to a new travel date on the same route within 14 calendar days from original flight time without additional cost, subject to seat availability; OR

3. Credit account: Retain the value of your fare in your AirAsia BIG Loyalty account for future travel with AirAsia. The online credit account is valid for booking within 90 calendar days from the date of issue.

Guests who wish to opt for change destination / move flight* are required to provide new flight details (new route, date and time) and passenger name(s) to our customer support team via Live Chat or Twitter available on support.airasia.com.

Guests who wish to opt for credit account* are required to fill in an e-Form available on support.airasia.com. AirAsia strongly encourages all guests to update their contact details at airasia.com to ensure that they are notified of any updates to their flights. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and keep our guests updated on the latest developments. Guests are advised to check airasia.com and AirAsia’s social media channels for further updates. For guests requiring further information and assistance, please contact our Customer Happiness team at support.airasia.com*Applicable for bookings made before 5 August 2018 with traveling period from 6 to 10 August 2018.

We would like to share this with you, especially if you are going to Lombok, due to the very recent earthquake that strike this beautiful island. Lombok is affected with a magnitude of 6.4 earthquake,  estimated 13 km from East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia (happened on 29 Jul, 6:47 AM). Taking this opportunity, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to those victims and affected ones. 

Understandably, some of us is going ahead with the travel plans, which ourselves will be going soon too, in September.

Hence a quick check on all airlines, AirAsia issued travel advisory on all flights to/from Lombok, Indonesia.
