Malaysia Airports Showcases KLIA's TOP Restaurant at MIGF 2018: KULinary in November 2018!
Food! One fine word that makes us salivate and we go round the world to look for it, if we need to.
Fortunately, Malaysia have abundant of food, not just local but internationally. We even have food fair like MIGF that allow us to taste and #foodfest on delicious, mouth-watering food from around the world, all in one place.
I even travel to airports, just to eat or shop, just because I can. Like when Isaac Toast opened in KLIA2, I went too. Food, things we do for food is..... amazing!

Malaysia Airports were at MIGF, promotes cuisines offered by 3 restaurants from KLIA as a teaser to what can be expected at the upcoming annual KULinary 2018 event in November (I heard it's gonna be HUGE!) and is participated in light of the celebration of food during this year’s Taste MIGF 2018 -- a 2-day gastronomy extravaganza -- by featuring its top airport cuisines under the banner of “Taste of Malaysia Airports”.

The three featured restaurants – Bumbu Desa, Fukuya and Grandmama’s – are showcasing some of their most popular dishes that are a hit with travellers at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). These three restaurants were part of the Top 25 winners from last year’s annual KULinary event – a signature dining discovery campaign hosted by Malaysia Airports that celebrates gastronomic excellence and dining experiences at both terminals of the airport, KLIA main terminal and klia2.

The annual KULinary event provides the most ideal platform for travellers to sample a variety of exciting F&B offerings that are available at the airport, which include eateries associated with well-established international brands as well as popular local eateries.
Malaysia Airports senior general manager for Commercial Services, Nazli Aziz, said: “We are excited to be part of MIGF 2018 as it serves as a platform for us to highlight our commitment to create enjoyable dining experiences for visitors at our airports. Ultimately, we want to ensure that our airports become preferred destinations for all food lovers out there. This objective is very much in line with our mission of enhancing the Total Airport Experience as we believe food plays an important role in connecting and educating the cultural richness of the community, especially with the variety of exciting F&B outlets that are available at our airports, and in this case, at KLIA.”
“We are also proud to be able to showcase several of our winners from last year’s KULinary event, as this serves as a precursor to what the public can expect to savour at this year’s KULinary 2018 event, which we anticipate will be bigger and better than last year,” added Nazli. Offering a mini Malaysia experience right in the airport, Grandmama’s serves traditional Malaysian flavours that bring back the fond memories of grandmothers cooking in the kitchen. Their Nasi Lemak is a must-try dish for visitors during this Taste MIGF event.
Additionally, visitors tasted the best of Indonesian cuisine from Bumbu Desa with its signature dishes of Nasi Tumpeng (a special dish made to celebrate important events), Ikan Bawal Taliwang Lombok (pomfret with special Taliwang Lombok sauce) and KopiKita (original Indonesian coffee).
Also present is Fukuya @KLIA, which is a must-visit restaurant for those who love authentic Japanese cuisine. Visitors should not miss the newly created Hotate Miso Soup (miso soup with scallops) which is specially created to celebrate this year’s Taste MIGF event. Other best sellers to look out for from Fukuya include Unagi Uramaki (deep fried spicy sea eel roll) and Shake Uramaki (deep fried spicy salmon roll).

Throughout the month-long MIGF 2018 celebration in September, these three restaurants will also provide a special menu for its signature dishes at their KLIA outlets.
Food lovers are encouraged to join the upcoming KULinary event at KLIA in November to discover the best hidden food gems that are available at both terminals of the airport. There will also be lots of fun activities and special meal deals for passengers to enjoy. As for me, you know for sure I will be there!
